Preliminary Report to Governor & General Assembly due Dec. 31, 2011 (Chapter 282, Acts of 2011).

Final Report to Governor & General Assembly due June 1, 2012 (Chapter 282, Acts of 2011).

In July 2011, the Task Force on Industrial Job Creation in Baltimore County was created (Chapter 282, Acts of 2011). The Task Force is to determine why jobs were lost in Baltimore County in the fields of industry, shipbuilding and repair, and business supply. Further, the Task Force will examine current State policies on job creation in those sectors and evaluate their effectiveness. Finally, the Task Force will recommend how Baltimore County can encourage new employers to locate in Baltimore County; retain current employers; and bring back employers who have left the County.

Authorization for the Task Force extends through June 30, 2012.
